Lionel Scaloni is an Argentian-born former footballer and professional football manager. He is current Argentina, national team coach. He was a former footballer who spent most of his professional career with the Spanish football club Deportivo La Coruna, primarily as a right midfielder.

Scaloni attributes his success to his parents
Scaloni was born in Santa Fe Province, a Pujato town, to Angel and Eulalia Scaloni. H attributes his success to his cherished parents and never fails to acknowledge them in his accomplishments. His family is his focus, and he is anxious about the health of his parents, who have major medical difficulties. After leading the team to a 3-0 win against Italy in the 2022 Finalissima, he praised his family, brothers, and parents, offering a loving embrace to those who could not be at his side during his huge triumph.

He said that the family theme has altered significantly in the previous year and that by the grace of God, his elderly man and old wife are perceiving it as best they can. Married to a Spaniard
Scaloni has kept his personal life private, however, he is a married guy whose wedding date is unknown. He is married to a Spanish woman with whom he has two gorgeous children. When asked if he would coach in Spain in the future, he replied that as a player, he played for LA Coruna, Mallorca, and Racing Club, and his wife is also Spanish. Speaking about the nation, he said that he really respects it since it has treated him so well. Until 2006, he and his brother were on the football path together
On the football trip, he was accompanied by his elder brother Mauro. Their father Angel initially trained them and kept them on Newell’s Old Boys in 1994 before moving them to Estudiantes de La Plata in 1996. They were transferred to Deportivo La Coruna shortly after winning the U20 World Cup in Malaysia.
Lionel was loaned out to West Ham United in 2006 before moving to Racing Santander, followed by Italian club Lazio, where he spent five years before being loaned out to Mallorca for 18 months in between. Though his brother may not make it past the reserve team, he is happy for him and continues to support him. In addition to him, there is an older brother who is equally supportive.
How did he come to be the coach of Argentina’s national team?
Scaloni went on to coach Argentina’s U20 team after retiring from football. He was allowed to stay on as Interim Manager for six months. The Argentine football association (AFA) phoned him when they were at L’Alcudia for the U20 tournament and asked if he could oversee two games.
Pablo Aimar was with him at the time and informed Scaloni that if he was leaving, Pablo would accompany him. Scaloni said that coaching the Argentina U20 squad was a reward, as was coaching the Argentina National Team. It was done for them till that time, and they knew nothing before being assigned to the job. Scaloni was named Argentina’s national team coach in 2018. He guided the squad to the Copa America championship in 2021 following a 1-0 victory against Brazil. He also guided the squad to a position in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
