Iliana “Lily” Peters was Lily Peters’ full name. Jennifer Eyerly Lily is her mother’s name, and Alexander Peters is her father’s. Her mother has been convicted of theft in several cases, and her father has served numerous prison sentences for various drug and alcohol offenses.
She attended Parkview Elementary School and was in class 4. She also lived on East Birch Street, block 50. This girl, ten years old, went missing on April 24.

What Occurred?
She was murdered and raped on April 24, 2022, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Because of the ages of both the victim and the suspect, the murder received a great deal of attention and media coverage. Similarly, on April 26, 2022, her cousin, 14-year-old Carson Peters-Berger, was arrested on murder and rape charges.
Berger was first identified publicly only by his initials “CPB.” Because of the murder charge, Carson is being tried as an adult. Carson, according to the criminal complaint, asked his cousin Lily to go for a walk and explore a trail. Lily rode her bike, and Carson rode his hoverboard. Carson is accused of punching Lily in the stomach and pushing her to the ground once they were off the trail.
He also hit her in the head three times with a large stick before strangling her to death. Carson is then accused of raping Lily’s dead body. Furthermore, the criminal complaint stated that Carson became terrified and fled, returning home to shower and clean his clothes. He then returned to the scene and dragged Lily’s body a few feet before covering her with leaves.
Investigation
Lily’s father reported her missing, and her body was discovered the next day at 8:54 a.m. As a result, Carson was arrested and charged with Lily’s murder and rape two days later. As per authorities, Carson confessed to killing Lily and that it was his plan the entire time to kill and rape her.
Moreover, the case is being treated as an adult case rather than a juvenile case due to Carson’s murder charge. His bail was set at $1 million. Further, if convicted, he would face a sentence of life in prison. His father, Adam Berger, had served 3 years in jail for possession of child pornography.
