Career
Leif Coorlim began his career as a writer at CBS-affiliated KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon, in 1998. From 2000 until 2003, he worked as a Producer for Fox-affiliated KPTV. He afterward went to WGTV in Washington and worked as a producer for Fox Television News until 2008. Coorlim later joined CNN in 2008. He has perplexed the world with documentaries and specials for the network such as ‘Be the Change,’ ‘Witness to War,’ and ‘Sumatra: Paradise Lost?’ He was also involved in the fight against human trafficking. Coorlim is in charge of the network’s environmental programming, having created both of CNN’s long-running series, ‘Eco-Solutions’ and ‘Going Green.’
He has also produced a number of movies on the issue, including ‘Mirador: The Forgotten City,’ ‘The Fall of the Khmer: A Climate Change Catastrophe,’ and the ‘CNN/YouTube Climate Change Debate’ during the 2009 COP15 climate summit in Copenhagen.
