How Did She Meet Her Future Husband?
Lepore met her future husband, Daniel Kwan, via a mutual acquaintance in Los Angeles. According to Lepore, she commented on the Facebook video of them hanging out, and her London animator friend advised meeting Kwan, claiming he is a kind man. They eventually met and became good friends. Lepore said that she originally friend-zoned him due to his desire in anything more, but she later began to view him in a different way. It took them a year to get together. They married on August 25, 2016, and are presently living in California.
Career
Lepore grew interested in stop-motion animation when she was around five years old. She used to watch Jim Henson’s Behind the Scenes specials and think that everyone who worked there had the best job on the globe. In the back of her mind, she was continuously designing and sculpting small creatures. She just started exploring stop-motion after she graduated from college.
She attended Maryland Institute College of Arts before attending CalArts and finishing with a degree in Experimental Animation. According to Lepore, after graduating from MICA, she was unsure if she wanted to pursue a graduate degree, so she worked as a freelance animator for two years before enrolling at CalArts. She required some time after graduating from university to prove to herself that she could earn a life from animation. Bottle was created when she was a student at CalArts. She said that her first film hooked her. It felt like the greatest method for her to integrate her passions for sculpting, music, and narrative into one medium.
Her husband’s film “Everything, Everywhere, All At Once” won seven Academy Awards.
A proud moment for Lepore and the entire team of “Everything, Everywhere, All At Once,” the 2022 film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, which won seven Oscars out of eleven nominations, becoming best science fiction film ever to win best picture and three of the four acting awards. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert met at Emmerson College in Boston, where they were both studying cinema, although they disliked each other at first.
Despite sharing a room and taking an animation class together, they only became close friends after graduation. They struck it off right away after landing jobs at summer camp. They hung out together during that time and finally filmed a short film together. They first began creating music videos together. Their manager was bringing them screenplays, and none of them were connecting in an inspirational manner at the time, or it didn’t seem like they wanted to spend years working on other people’s scripts, so they felt they had to attempt on themselves.
They began with their music videos for fun, but it quickly became their job. They learnt how to work together as a result of the process, and it was a fantastic method for them to practice. They would get a song from a record company, explain them the limits, and be given three to four days to come up with a concept. It aided them in coming up with ideas quickly. It all began there, and the rest is history.
