Tom Parker, 33, of The Wanted, died of a brain tumor. His bandmates announced his death by posting a black and white photo of Tom on the band’s official Instagram page with the caption:

“Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan, and the entire Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who died peacefully today at lunchtime surrounded by his family and bandmates.”

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side,” Tom’s wife Kelsey added. In October 2020, the 33-year-old was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called grade 4 glioblastomas.

In terms of net worth, Tom Parker had an estimated net worth of $8 million at the time of his death; This fortune was amassed during his time with the best-selling band The Wanted, which formed in 2009 and stopped making music in 2014. Moreover, Tom was one of five members of the band from Bolton, Manchester, and he toured the world with them.

 

Tom Parker’s Profession

In terms of profession, Tom began playing guitar at a young age and even auditioned for X-Factor before leaving Manchester Metropolitan University to pursue a singing career.

Tom revealed on Instagram in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

“There’s no easy way to say it, but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour, and I’m already undergoing treatment,” he explained before revealing that he had done an exclusive interview with Ok explaining everything.

“We’re all devastated, but we’re going to fight this all the way.” “We don’t want your sadness; we want your love and positivity, and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease,” he added.

In January 2021, he revealed that the tumor had shrunk by a “significant amount.”

“These are the words I received today, and I can’t stop repeating them to myself.” “I had an MRI scan on Tuesday, and the results today showed that the tumor has shrunk significantly, and I am responding well to treatment,” he said.

He went on to express his gratitude to the NHS, his wife Kelsey, his children, and his fans for their unending love and support. Following that, his condition sadly worsened, and The Wanted star succumbed to cancer on March 30th, 2022.
