Batman, one of the most anticipated films of the year, has finally been released, and the reaction from fans has been incredible. The film, which starred Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader, elevated the entire Batverse to new heights.
However, this isn’t DC’s only film in the works for the foreseeable future. Diamond Comics is preparing to release a slew of movies based on prominent characters from their comic books in the coming weeks. Here are four such films that fans are anticipating.
Four forthcoming DC films, ranging from Black Adam to Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom
1) Adam the Black
Black Adam is an upcoming DC film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that will be released on July 29, 2022. The film will provide insight into the anti-roots heroes and resurrection.
Black Adam is a rather dark character with many superpowers in the comic books. He possesses superhuman strength and endurance and the ability to move and fly at extraordinary speeds. Fans are excited about this film and want to see how director Jaume Collet-Serra handles this formidable character on the big screen.
2) Fast and Furious
The Flash is scheduled to debut on November 4, 2022. The film, which stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen AKA Flash, is promised to provide fans with a slew of action-packed scenes that keep them on the tip of their seats.
Although this character has appeared in several films over the years, this one will take the Flashverse to a whole new level. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, both from different realities, have been cast as Batman in the film.
3) The Legend Of Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom
Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, his second solo film, will see him return to the big screen once more. The film will star Hollywood hottie Jason Momoa and be released on March 17, 2023 (source: IMDb).
This film will follow the first Aquaman film, which was released in 2018. James Wan is directing the film, which is currently in post-production. DC fans may look forward to many underwater action sequences in which the Atlantian demigod battles evil powers.
4) It’s Shazam! The Gods’ Fury
The Gods’ Fury. Shazam, another formidable superhero from the pages of Diamond Comics, made his big-screen debut in 2019. Shazam!, the superhero’s second solo film, will be released on December 16, 2022, on the big screen.
Zachary Levi will play Shazam in the film, directed by David F. Sandberg. This will be another action-packed ride for fans, with comedic moments for good measure. Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, Ross Butler, and others are among the other performers who will appear in the film.
