Kirk Baily is an American actor who died on February 28 at the age of 59 from lung cancer. TMZ learned of the former Nickelodeon star’s untimely demise from his family. His death was also announced on social media by his pals. Baily was diagnosed with lung cancer six months before. Until last year, he worked as a voice actor in animated films.

Kirk Baily is best known for his role as Kevin “Ug” Lee in the Nickelodeon comedy Salute Your Shorts, which premiered in 1991. He appeared in 26 episodes of the program as the titular character. In the mid-1990s, Baily also had some one-time parts in TV shows and films. In eight episodes of Trigun in 1998, he played Millions Knives as an adult. Later in his career, the New York native worked as a voice actor in anime and animated feature films. His credits include Mobile Suit Gundam, Aladdin, Cowboy Bebop, Hotel Transylvania, Despicable Me 2, Frozen, and Big Hero Six. He also appeared in the forthcoming DC animated film DC League of Super-Pets.
From 2002 through 2004, Baily played various roles in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex’s English dub. Aside from his films and TV shows, the 59-year-old has also worked on computer games. Among his many credits is Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force. Hack series, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Baily worked as an ADR professional on projects prior to his entry into the entertainment sector. He was most likely a theatre instructor in New York City. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1987 to pursue acting and voiceover jobs.
