Kimberly Kim Klacik is an American businesswoman and politician who was born on January 19, 1982. She was defeated by Democratic nominee Kweisi Mfume by more than 40 points in both elections. Kimberly was the Republican nominee for Maryland’s 7th congressional district in both the April 2020 special election, held after incumbent Elijah Cummings died, and the subsequent November 2020 election.

Career
Kimberly Kim Klacik founded Potential Me, a non-profit that helps women advance in their careers. In 2010, she relocated to the Baltimore area. Klacik’s non-profit has only filed one tax return since 2013, reporting revenue of less than $7,000 and expenditures of less than $3,000 for providing clothing to ten women rather than the 200 women claimed by Klacik.
Klacik is a member of the Republican Central Committee of Baltimore County. Fox News dubbed her a “Republican strategist,” citing her criticisms of Elijah Cummings and the district’s living standards and safety issues. An hour later, President Donald Trump began disparaging both the city of Baltimore and Cummings on Twitter in a series of 19 tweets spread over two days. Klacik responded to Trump’s tweets with, “This just made my day.”
