Kim Jung-hyun, a well-known South Korean actor, is in discussions to make a return on television, appearing in the forthcoming fantasy drama The Season of Kkok-du. The actor will return after a year and six months on the sidelines.
Kim was born on April 5, 1990, in Busan, South Korea. The South Korean actor studied acting at the Korean National University of Arts and has since appeared in a number of television shows and films. He is well recognized for his appearances as the lead in the television series School 2017, Welcomes to Waikiki, and Time. The 32-year-old actor rose to prominence in the K-drama series Crash Landing on You and Mr.Queen, which were among the highest-rated Korean dramas in cable television history.

According to multiple K-media sites, the Crash Landing on You actor will make his return on May 13, 2022, as the protagonist in a new MBC K-drama series tentatively named The Season of Kkok-du. Following the rumors, Kim’s representation agency, Story J Company, issued a short response to several media sites clarifying the charges.
It was stated:
“Kim Jung-hyun has been offered a role in The Season Of Kkok-du and is now in negotiations for the drama.”
The Season of Kkok-du is a fantasy medical drama that tells the narrative of Kkok-du, a high-ranking grim reaper who is the sole such entity in the underworld. Every 99 years, the mysterious and ruthless Kkok-du must leave the underworld for 49 days to work in the mortal realm. He eventually inhabits the body of a human called Do Jin-woo.
Kkok-du encounters Han Gye-jeol, a female doctor who has the unusual ability to boss him about while inhabiting the body of Do Jin-woo. The Season of Kkok-plot du’s is similar to that of the Netflix original series Lucifer, which told the narrative of the devil (Lucifer) entering the human world and falling in love with a homicide investigator called Chloe. If the discussions are successful, it would be Kim Jung-first hyun’s part after a brief break in 2021 due to many scandals regarding the actor. His most recent role was as King Cheol-jong in the K-drama series Mr.Queen, which debuted in February 2021.
