Kiki Rice, an American collegiate basketball player, was born to parents John and Andrea Rice. Her parents are both former athletes who are now successful in their fields. Kira Carroll, better known as “Kiki” Rice, is now a UCLA Bruins collegiate basketball player. Rice was a great performer at Sidwell Friends School throughout her high school years.
She emerged as one of the top recruits in her class and received national recognition when she was named player of the year her senior year. Sidwell Friends finished the season with a perfect 28-0 record under her guidance. Rice chose UCLA to continue her basketball career at the university level.

Her father, John Rice, had an impressive athletic and professional history. John, a former NCAA basketball player at Yale, moved into management after getting his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1992. His career path includes a significant position as a Senior Manager at The Walt Disney Company, where he handled operations in Miami and Orlando. John’s enthusiasm for basketball led him to the NBA, where he spent four years as the Managing Director of the league’s Latin America and Japan division.
In 2002, John Rice established Management Leadership for Tomorrow, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the leadership potential of underrepresented minorities. As CEO, he has spent over two decades providing emerging leaders with mentoring, skill training, and a strong professional network.
Kiki Rice Mother, Andrea Rice
Andrea Rice, Kiki’s mother, on the other hand, made a name for herself in the athletic and professional spheres. Andrea, a talented tennis player at Yale, has won multiple national age group singles and doubles titles on a variety of surfaces. Her accomplishments include being national number one and helping Team USA win gold medals at the World Tennis Championships in Germany (2018) and Portugal (2019). Andrea shifted her focus away from athletics and into coaching and business.
She co-founded Career Core in 2006 and served as president for 11 years, specializing in creative talent development and recruiting solutions. Andrea Rice is a respected board member of Bolster, a software development business. She also works as a Managing Director for her husband’s company, Management Leadership for Tomorrow.
