Kevin Labanc started his professional ice hockey career with the New Jersey Rockets in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League and Youth Hockey League as a junior player. During the 2009-10 season, he was a member of the New Jersey Colonials of the AYBHL league.
In the 2010-11 season, he was a member of the New Jersey Rockets of the MetJHL. In the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, he was a member of the USHL’s National Development Team. Following that, he joined the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League in the 2013-14 season. He received the Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy and the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as the top-scoring right winger in the OHL during the 2015-16 season.
On March 9, 2016, Kevin Labanc was signed by the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He agreed to a three-year entry-level deal with the club.
