Kevin Appier has played for four different MLB clubs. In 1989, he made his debut with the Kansas City Royals. He was a hurler for the club for ten years before leaving in 1999. He left this club in 1999 to join the Oakland Athletics. He departed in 2000 to join the New York Mets. Kevin played for this club for a year before moving on to the Anaheim Angels in 2002.
Kevin rejoined the Kansas City Royals in 2003. However, owing to surgery, he was sidelined for the majority of 2004. He was partly retired at the time, but he played his final encounter for the Royals in April 2004. He was named an All-Star in 1995, World Series winner in 2002, and AL ERA leader in 1993 during his playing tenure.
