Kep1er has not been quiet in a year dominated by K-pop girl group blockbusters. Just four months after their previous comeback, Doublast, the girl group unveiled a new album named TROUBLESHOOTER on September 25.Β The WA DA DA girl group’s return teaser poster, in which they seem to be traveling back in time with a vintage theme, has added to this year’s already intriguing October schedule (which seems to be trendy currently.)
The teaser for TROUBLESHOOTER includes a computer display from the 1990s, a floppy disk, and a keyboard. The title and release date of the record is shown on the screen, which momentarily glitches before going off in a vintage animation manner. Kep1er is back: The rookie female group has announced an October return.
Fourth-generation female groups like Kep1er are undoubtedly leading K-pop at the moment. The only way to stand out from other female groups is to consistently produce catchier songs, which the WA DA DA group is doing.Β The nine-member project girl group unexpectedly published a GIF with the album’s name and September 25 release date, despite no sign of a comeback this soon.
The TROUBLESHOOTER teaser video took the fans by surprise, as they had been enjoying the group’s previous output. The bulk of the responses to the teaser post were one-word responses like “Oh” and “WHAT.”Β Some fans anticipate the tunes will be hip-hop or electronic dance music. WA DA DA, Kep1er’s first single, also used EDM, prompting many to assume the group is moving in that route. The most astonishing element was that the girl group’s most recent return, Doublast, was in June of this year, and now, less than four months later, they are all getting ready for another round of many week-long comebacks, photoshoots, and promotions.
The battle for female groups is growing more severe, with LE SSERAFIM making their first return and IVE already making a viral second comeback (despite being just a year old). Regardless, Kep1ians are worried about Kep1ers’ health.
The official agenda for the TROUBLESHOOTER girl group presently includes appearances at the Incheon K-pop concert on October 1, the Fact Music Awards on October 8, the Kep1anet fan gathering in Seoul on October 10, the Japan fan meet and greet on October 15, and KCON Japan (third day) on October 16.Β TROUBLESHOOTER, Kep1er’s return, is set for October 13, 2022, smack in the midst of that tight timeframe.
