Kemi Badenoch was born in Wimbledon, London, England on January 2, 1980. Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke is her given name. Femi and Feyi Adegoke, her parents, gave birth to her. Her father is a general practitioner, while her mother is a physiology professor. Her early years were spent in the United States (where her mother lectured) and Lagos, Nigeria. Career

Kemi Badenoch, at 25, joined the Conservative Party in 2005. In 2010, she ran against Labour’s Tessa Jowell in the Dulwich and West Norwood constituency, finishing third behind Jowell and Jonathan Mitchell (the Liberal Democrat candidate).

She ran for the Conservatives in the London Assembly election in 2012, finishing sixth on the London-wide list. Victoria Borwick was elected to the House of Commons in the 2015 general election and later resigned her position in the London Assembly. Then Badenoch was named the new Assembly Member.

In the 2016 election, she was re-elected to the Assembly. Badenoch is in favor of lifting the fox hunting ban. Furthermore, in the 2017 general election, she was elected MP for the Saffron Walden seat with 37,629 votes and a majority of 24,966. (41.0 percent ).

She was also chosen to serve on the 1922 Executive Committee. In September, she was named to the Parliamentary Justice Select Committee.

In January 2018, she was appointed as the Conservative Party’s Vice-Chair for Candidates. The Mail on Sunday received a video of Badenoch’s interview with Core Politics in April 2018, in which she admitted to hacking into the website of a Labour MP in 2008.

Jayne Ozanne asked her to ‘examine her position’ as Equalities minister in March 2021. During a discussion in the House of Commons in April 2021, she questioned the Labour Party’s response to a study published by the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities that declared Britain was not institutionally racist.

Labour was accused by her of “willful misrepresentations” about the study and responded to Butler’s statements by saying, “It is unfair to accuse those who argue for a different strategy of being racists or race traitors.” It’s much more foolish, and potentially dangerous, to label ethnic minorities racist slurs like Uncle Toms, coconuts, house slaves, or house negroes for daring to believe differently.”
