Kelli Giddish, who plays Kelli on Law & Order: SVU, has a notoriously private life — so private that no one knew she had divorced Lawrence Faulborn and moved on.
Her husband did not belong in the entertainment industry, she said in an interview with Smashing Interviews magazine on October 4, 2021.
While looking for love, the actress admitted she purposefully avoided dating anyone from the entertainment industry. Surprisingly, Giddish revealed that she and her husband had previously divorced. There had been no official word about her divorce from her former husband prior to her confession.
Her Instagram, on the other hand, was devoid of photos of her husband, which could have been a hint.
The fact that she had divorced her husband was not the only shocking revelation.
Giddish revealed that she had already begun dating a new man. When the interviewer asked who her fiancé was, Giddish simply laughed it off and remained silent. She did say, however, that she was “very excited” about her upcoming wedding.

Lawrence and his ex-husband Giddish married on June 20, 2015. The former couple married in a small ceremony on the beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Their intimate wedding was attended by only their closest family and friends.
The bride wore a simple white gown with a floral crown, while the groom was dressed casually in a white shirt and jeans. On October 6, 2015, they welcomed their first child, a son named Ludo Faulborn, just months after exchanging vows.
Ice T, Giddish’s Law & Order: SVU co-star, was the first to announce their pregnancy on Twitter a few months before the birth. Warren Leight, another SVU star, also congratulated the parents on Twitter.
Three years later, on November 18, the couple welcomed their second child, Charlie, into the world. In September, Giddish revealed to E! News that she was expecting her second child while attending the Tribeca TV Festival in New York City.

Giddish’s pregnancies were written into the show to ensure that they did not affect her role in the NBC drama.
The show explored a controversial plotline in which Giddish’s character became pregnant by her former commanding officer, Lt. Declan Murphy, when she was pregnant with her first son.
This happened during Season 17, and Giddish’s Amanda Rollins had a daughter as a result. Her son also appeared in one of the show’s episodes as her character’s newborn daughter.
Giddish was initially hesitant to allow her son to appear on television because she felt she was “pimping [her] child out.”
However, the producers persuaded her that it would be a fun thing for him to do when he was older. “When he’s old enough to understand, I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. ‘Oh, thanks for the pink bow on national television, mom,’ he’ll say, “Giddish remarked. Her storyline for season 20 included her second pregnancy. Giddish has two sons, but her series character has two daughters.
