Life after marriage

Due to rare noncancerous lung conditions, she underwent a lung transplant in 2012 at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. She had been using an oxygen tank for nearly six years before her death. She died of kidney failure at the age of 71. On August 4, 2015, she died late Monday night at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis.
The Death of Her Husband
He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011, and his beloved wife was with him at the time. On April 29, 2012, he publicly announced that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Before his death, he had been cared for at home for 13 months. He passed away on October 24, 2016, at the age of 73. His children and a family member were present when he took his final breath.
