Kanye West’s recent scandal has prompted his opponents to criticize Coachella for deleting his name off the festival’s 2022 lineup. An online user using the handle “Kim Pete” has started a change.org petition, claiming that organizers should be embarrassed for providing West with “any more platform” to spew hatred at his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her current partner, Pete Davidson. The petition, which had gathered over 1,650 signatures by March 17 afternoon, said that no one had stood up to West until now, and those who have been publicly chastised by the rapper.
“For over a year, we have seen Kanye harass, manipulate, and harm Kim, Pete, and others. This is absurd that he is permitted to do so freely.”

The petition was launched on the same day that Instagram suspended West, 44, for 24 hours for continuously attacking Kardashian, 41, and Davidson, 28, as well as comedians D.L. Hughley and Trevor Noah. The petition on Change.org presently has 5,118 supporters.
