For the first time on Netflix, Junior Baking Show is back with another episode. The program is a spin-off of the Great British Baking Show, and it includes miniature-sized bakers from the United Kingdom competing for the grand prize. The sixth season of the show will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, August 17, at 3:01 a.m. ET. Junior Baking Show, formerly known as Junior Bake-Off, was originally part of the CBBC Network until being acquired by the streaming platform. The program will feature 16 young bakers overcoming various tasks in order to acquire bragging rights over their fellow candidates.
How will the Junior Baking Show decide who is the finest junior baker?
The winner of the Great British Baking Show spin-off will be determined over the course of 12 days of competition. The Junior Baking Show candidates will be split into two groups of eight in each episode. Four of the bakers will be eliminated, and the remaining bakers will compete in a week-long final. As part of the final challenge, the surviving bakers will be required to prepare dishes centered on afternoon tea, which will include entremets, pastries, and a tiered layer cake.
The Junior Baking Show will showcase Britain’s most talented child bakers aged nine to fifteen, who will amaze the judges with cakes, cookies, bread, dessert, and pastries. In addition, they must produce themed desserts such as illusions, street food, and an international dessert. The comedian Harry Hill will be there to see and host these youthful talents, and he will be joined as judges by pastry chef Ravneet Gill and former GBBO finalist Liam Charles. Currently, Charles is the presenter of Bake Off: The Professionals. Charlie, Fern, Fyn, Naima, Sicily, Sophia, Henry, Will, Toby, Cece, Zack, Maddi, Reece, Safiyyah, and Robbie compete for bragging rights on Junior Baking Show Season 6.
