Joshua Morrow was pondering a career in athletics when a talent scout spotted him at a local mall and booked him modeling jobs with Teen magazine and Nike. Since 1994, he has portrayed Nicholas Newman on the American television soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” His first scenes on Y&R as Nick Newman, who had recently returned home from boarding school, were with Nick’s sister Victoria (then played by Heather Tom).
Morrow auditioned for the role of Dylan Shaw on “The Bold and the Beautiful” before landing the role of Nicholas (he was one of the final two candidates, but he lost that job to Dylan Neal). He was working at a restaurant and still living at home with his mother when he received the job at Y&R.
