John Douglas Torode, better known as John Torode, is a celebrity chef of Australian-British ancestry. He is well-known for his appearances on ITV’s “This Morning” and as a presenter on the BBC’s “MasterChef.” At the age of sixteen, he enrolled at a culinary school and began working for chef Terence Conran of the Conran Group a year later. His early cooking career began at Aspendale’s Le Coq Au Vin restaurant, and he later apprenticed at various places in Beaumauris, both of which are located in Melbourne.
