John DiMaggio, who portrays Bender in the long-running and recently resurrected animated series Futurama, will join the rest of the cast for new episodes on Hulu. Regular cast members include Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. DiMaggio had not signed a deal to return to the program when it was revealed on February 9, but he has now.
Why didn’t John DiMaggio join the rest of the original Futurama voice cast?
Many Futurama fans voiced their disappointment that DiMaggio was not cast in the program, which the actor mirrored on his social media pages. On February 15, DiMaggio sent a tweet saying,
“Bender is a part of my soul, and nothing in this is intended to offend the fans or my Futurama family.” It’s all about self-esteem. And, to be honest, I’m bored of a business that has gotten way too corporate and exploits an artist’s time and skill.”
While West and Sagal accepted Hulu’s pay proposals, DiMaggio thought it was too low and responded, resulting in a standoff in which no side seemed to advance. He feels that the whole cast should be paid more. Those discussions seem to have come to an end. After his contract was settled on Tuesday, DiMaggio was back in Bender mode. He went to Twitter and said that the cast had been reassembled. Let’s look at the original voice actors returning for future episodes.

In the upcoming episodes, Billy will reprise his roles as Dr. Zoidberg, Prof. Hubert J. Farnsworth, Philip J. Fry, and others.

Katey will reprise her roles as Turanga Leela, Princess Purpleberry, Nutcracker, and other characters on the program.
3)Tress MacNeille
Tress will return to the program to reprise her roles as Linda, Mom, Petunia, and others.
4) Mr. Maurice LaMarche
Maurice will return to the program to voice Morbo, Calculon, Kif Kroker, and other characters.
5) Lauren Tom
Lauren’s voice will be heard again on the program as Amy Wong, Inez Wong, Ruth, and many more characters.
6) Phil LaMarr
Phil will reprise his role as Ethan “Bubblegum” Tate, Hermes Conrad, Reverend Preacherbot, and other characters.
7) David Herman
In the episode, David will reprise his roles as Scruffy, Larry, Mayor C. Randall Poopenmeyer, and others.
