Joey Jordison, born Nathan Jonas Jordison, is an American composer, musician, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is most recognized for his work as the former drummer and co-songwriter for Slipknot, an American heavy metal band. He’s also the guitarist for the American Horror Punk band Murderdolls. He has been a member of the band Slipknot since its inception in 1995, and he left the band in December 2013. He’s been performing with his drum kits since he was eight.

Joey Jordison Biography
Joey Jordison was born on April 26, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa. Steve Jordison was his father’s name, and Jackie Jordison was his mother’s. He also has two younger sisters and spent most of his boyhood in the rural area outside Waukee. He used to play basketball on the streets and in front of his house in his hometown.
His parents split when he was pretty young, and he and his siblings moved in with his mother. Later, his mother remarried, and they soon opened a funeral home, where Jordison would sometimes assist. He soon created the band Modifidious, in which he played drums. Later, he referred to the band as “complete speed-metal thrash.”
