Joe Budden Recently Faced Criticism For His Racially Insensitive Remarks Towards BTS

Joe Budden

American rapper Joe Budden recently came under criticism for making racially insensitive remarks regarding K-Pop hit BTS, who is also presently regarded as the world’s most popular boyband. Budden recently said on his show that he despises BTS:

“Call me a jerk, but I despise BTS n***as.”

While his co-hosts Ice and Ish pointed out that hating the group without a reason was unacceptable, Budden said that he didn’t need a reason to hate the group:

“Do I really need a reason? I despise those n***as. I don’t have to explain why; I simply despise these n***as.”

Budden continued his rage and slammed BTS’s work, saying:

“I don’t want to hear that sh*t, I don’t want to watch those dancing steps, and I don’t want to see you come down in a tiny umbrella in the sky.” I don’t want to see your four f***ing co-tees emerge from the crowd, join forces like Voltron, and do all of the 98 Degrees motions. “I don’t want to see any of this sh*t.”

The podcaster also misidentified the group and said they were from China:

“I know they’re large, and I know it’s China, but I don’t want to see it.” I’m not interested in seeing Korean-Sync.”

Joe Budden’s provocative statements shocked BTS ARMY (the group’s followers), and many turned to social media to attack the rapper.

Joe Budden is being chastised on Twitter for his inflammatory remarks about BTS.

BTS is without a doubt one of the most well-known names in the modern music business. The K-pop superstar emerged in 2013 and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, amassing one of the world’s largest fan bases. Needless to say, BTS fans were dismayed when rapper Joe Budden made a few inflammatory remarks and revealed his “hatred” for the group. As a result, some fans turned to Twitter to criticize the rapper’s remarks:

As the internet outrage grew, Joe Budden maintained his stand and issued a series of tweets explaining his actions:

As internet opinions continue to flow in, it remains to be seen if BTS will respond to Budden’s remarks in the coming days. The current turmoil comes after the duo stunned the music world with a stunning performance of their popular song Butter at the 2022 Grammy Awards. At the 64th Grammy Awards, BTS was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Butter. They were even nominated for a Grammy in the same category last year for their chart-topping hit Dynamite.
