Jodie Turner-Smith has apparently joined the cast of Sex Education season 4. Her credits include The Last Ship (2017), Nightflyers (2018), and Anne Boleyn (2021), among others. The news comes as numerous stars say their last goodbyes to the program. Both Emma Mackey and Ncuti Trade in goods, who portray Maeve Wiley and Eric, have confirmed their departure from Sex Education following season 4.
Numerous cast members quit Laurie Nunn’s TV show before the fourth season began production. This comprises Olivia, Ola, Lily, and Emily Sands, as played by Simone Ashley, Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds, and Rakhee Thakkar. Turner-inclusion Smith’s comes as welcome news to fans amid the show’s cast upheavals. While neither the streaming site nor the program’s creators have acknowledged the news, the star hinted at her role in the show during the 2017 BAFTA Film Awards.

Jodie Turner-Smith was cast in Sex Education Because of Ncuti Gatwa.
The actress revealed insights about her role in the famous program while attending the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, February 19, 2023, in London.
According to Jodie Turner-Smith:
“You could see me in a Netflix program called Sex Education.”
When asked how it transpired, she said that Ncuti Gatwa was the driving force behind the decision. Without revealing much about her character, the actress said that she would be tied to Gatwa’s Eric.
According to Variety, the 36-year-old English actor added:
“First and foremost, all of my moments were with Ncuti Gatwa, who I DIE for and who is my favorite character on the show…So when he phoned and asked me to do it, I told him, “I don’t care how much they pay, I’m doing it.”
According to reports, her character would be Eric’s cousin and will be stationed in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, or Ghana. Turner-Smith isn’t the only newcomer to the cast. Among the newcomers are:
Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Thaddea Graham (Curfew, Us), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze), Felix MuftiAnthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Imani Yahshua.
All about Sex Education season 4
According to many sources, season 4 of the Netflix program has wrapped filming and is nearing completion. The streamer has not yet announced a release date, but the fourth season will most likely arrive in mid-2023. In terms of the narrative, Variety said that season 4 of the fan-favorite series would “feature a blend of old and new interesting faces.” Also, Moordale Secondary School graduates will seek “an alternate location to learn – and romp – after the school lost financing and was sold to developers.”
Apart from Sex Education, Turner-Smith will star in two television shows: Bad Monkey and The Acolyte. Murder Mystery 2 starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston will also include her.
