Jocelyn Delk Adams

Stab That Cake!, Food Network’s next culinary competition, is planned to launch on the network on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET. In the series, three professional bakers will battle to see whether their amazingly realistic cakes can pass for genuine sweets when put next to actual cakes in different grocery stores. Two cake-loving teams will fight to see who can find the bakers’ respective cakes concealed in plain sight earliest.

Stab That Cake! will be co-hosted by Jocelyn Delk Adams and John Henson. Jocelyn is the award-winning cookbook ‘Grandbaby Cakes and the culinary website Grandbaby-creator, Cakes.com’s author, national television personality, and brand ambassador. The chef’s purpose is to offer her grandmother’s famous traditional dishes with a modern touch.

According to the official summary of the food competition series:

“The bakers are tasked by hosts John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams to build and then conceal their cakes in plain sight in a grocery store setting, where two teams of cake aficionados compete to decide what is real and what is cake. To make their cakes seem authentic, the bakers must use every new and creative approach at their disposal. The complexity of the tasks will rise in order to push the cake designers’ creations and abilities to the next level.”

Jocelyn Delk Adams, the presenter of Stab That Cake!, hopes to encourage other bakers.

Stab That Cake! presenter Jocelyn Delk Adams discussed her baking adventures on her own website. She didn’t understand she had a “baking gene” until she was in her twenties. She is now in her 30s and is incredibly enthusiastic about baking. Grandbaby Cakes was inspired by her grandmother and offers a variety of classic and traditional recipes with a contemporary touch.

The presenter hopes to inspire a new generation of bakers and food aficionados via the brand in such a manner that people will not feel bad about producing and eating desserts. She commented on her website, reminiscing about recollections of her grandmother’s baking:

“I used to adore going to Mississippi to see my grandmother, or “big mama” Maggie as my family lovingly refers to her, bake. Big Mama bakes cakes that had her neighbors lining up around the block for a sample.”

The presenter of Stab That Cake! is a TODAY show tastemaker and has served as a judge on many Food Network culinary competition shows, including Santa’s Baking Blizzard and Beat Bobby Flay.
