Career
Jim Seals created his own band with his partner Darrell George “Dash” Crofts after working for other bands and vocalists. In 1969, he obtained a record deal with Talent Associates via his band Seals and Crofts. The pair then recorded two albums that charted high on the Billboard 200 in 1970.
Seal and Croft got a deal with Warner Bros. Records and released their debut album, “Year of Sunday,” in 1971. They released albums such as “Summer Breeze,” “Hummingbird,” and “Diamond Girl” with Warner Bros. Seal had the opportunity to visit the globe and perform in many places while working with Croft. Mr. Seal retired from the stage in 2017.
