Many books have been adapted into films and television series in recent years. During the 2000s and 2010s, most fantasy series was adapted, including Harry Potter, Twilight, and Percy Jackson.
However, action and psychological thrillers such as Gone Girl, Dune, Behind Her Eyes, and The Girl on the Train are gaining popularity. As a result, many production companies and streaming services are lining up to adopt such novels into television series.
In this vein, BBC One and HBO Max have recently joined the effort to adapt J.P. Delaney’s acclaimed novel The Girl Before into a four-episode series.

The Sun exclusively reported on August 19, 2021, that fans spotted Hardy and Plummer at Jade Bird’s London show. Since June, the couple appears to have grown closer.
Their on-screen romance spilled over into real-life after they began filming for The Girl Before. They eventually began liking each other’s Instagram posts and spending time together away from the screen.
However, it is unknown whether the couple is exclusive to each other. After all, this is the first time Hardy and Plummer have collaborated. They were both previously cast members of EastEnders, but they did not share any screen time.

Variety announced on March 23, 2021, that Ben Hardy had joined the cast of the series, which also includes Jessica Plummer, David Oyelowo, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Mbatha-Raw will play Jane, Oyelowo will play the mysterious architect, Plummer will play Emma, and Hardy will play Emma’s love interest, Simon. And, like their on-screen characters, Hardy and Plummer appear to have started a romantic relationship off-screen.
