In 1966, Jerry Miller, Don Stevenson, and Bob Mosley formed the band Moby Grape in San Francisco. Columbia Records signed the band. Under that label, they created four albums distributed between 1967 and 1969. “Hey Grandma,” “8.05”, and “Murder In My Heart for The Judge” were some of their best compositions. The 2005 movie “The Interpreter” featured the song “Hey Grandma.” Even though they split up in 1970, they occasionally still perform.

In 1969, Jerry Miller, Don Stevenson, John Barrett, and John Oxendine formed the band The Rhythm Dukes. But because of its failure, the band only produced one album before disbanding in 1971.
