Jeopardy Champion Amy Schneider Got Married To Her Fiancé Genevieve Davis

Amy Schneider

Amy Schneider, a Jeopardy winner, said on Tuesday, September 27, that she married her 25-year-old fiancée Genevieve Davis on May 9. In Oakland, California, the pair married in a “little private ceremony at the Alameda County Recorder.” Despite the fact that the pair married months ago, Amy, 43, just announced the good news with her admirers on her social media pages, along with photos from their wedding.

They married in a modest ceremony because they “couldn’t wait that long to express [their] love and commitment to each other,” according to the Jeopardy champion. The couple will, however, have a conventional wedding and celebration next summer.

Amy Schneider and Genevieve Davis met via mutual acquaintances.

Jeopardy Amy initially met Genevieve, a babysitter, via mutual acquaintances in July 2020. Amy tweeted about their first meeting:

“My buddy was hanging out at my apartment, chatting on the phone with her boyfriend, and she ended up asking her boyfriend’s sister over for a trip someplace.” Genevieve turned out to be that sister.”

She initially became friends with “cute” Genevieve, and they began hanging out together. People thought that they were “dating” because of their relationship, but Genevieve disputed the rumors, claiming that she is “straight.” Amy, on the other hand, thought that the connection would develop into something romantic. She told The Los Angeles Times about her friendship with Genevieve:

“I was constantly hoping for the best. I had a great time hanging out with her. I liked that we didn’t have to chat all the time and that we didn’t have to amuse one other all the time. We could zone out on our phones or anything we wanted, and everything was perfect.”

They fell in love seven months after their first encounter and began dating in February 2021. Amy said to The New York Times:

“This is the second significant relationship I’ve had in my life. I had never even kissed someone when I met the lady who would become my wife, and I was 25.”

After a year of dating, the pair decided to be married in February 2022. Amy announced the good news on Twitter, including a photo of their left hands wearing solitaire engagement rings. Even the proposal was prepared by the pair. They planned that Genevieve would propose to Amy around Valentine’s Day and their relationship anniversary in February.

But Genevieve decided to surprise Amy by proposing on an unscheduled day, utterly taking Amy off guard. The following is what Genevieve told The Los Angeles Times:

“When she walked in, I was on one knee, and she freaked out.” It’s a very funny video.”

Amy continued:

“Everything about it was flawless. Then, for a time, we had… balloons hanging over our place, but, you know.”

Amy proposed to Genevieve during a lavish anniversary dinner in Sonoma about a week later. The couple ultimately said “I do” on May 9 in a little ceremony. While exchanging their vows, the pair donned plain white gowns with flower headpieces. Amy was formerly married to Keely Anneken. She married Keely in 2004, but they divorced in 2016 when she discovered she was “trans.” Amy is the highest-paid female competitor in Jeopardy’s history, receiving almost $1.4 million after winning 40 games. She has the second-longest winning streak in Jeopardy history, after only Ken Jennings.
