During a recent live broadcast, Jeff Wittek criticized David Dobrik, claiming he was “done being false buddies” with the vlogger. Since Wittek almost died in a crane accident, the two had a strained relationship. Wittek disclosed to a fan that Dobrik had not called or checked up on him since his recent operation while addressing a fan’s query. Since the near-fatal tragedy, Wittek has had a number of treatments to repair his eye.
In the year 2020, while working on a stunt for The Vlog Squad, the event happened. An excavator was used to pull Dobrik’s squad on wakeboards into an open waterway in the lake’s center. Eventually, Wittek was dangling from a rope tied to the crane as if it were an extension of himself. Things became more problematic when Dobrik increased the crane’s speed, and Wittek was thrown off the excavator and died due to his injuries.
Jeff Wittek has unfollowed Dobrik on Instagram.
Instagram user @defnoodles provided a brief video clip of the live feed. After Dobrik’s recent operation, Wittek was asked whether he had contacted him.
“Has David messaged you to check whether everything is good with you?”
‘I haven’t heard from Dobrik,’ Wittek answered, adding that he was not surprised.
“Nope. Nope. Not a single word. You know, I’m not surprised at all. It’s what it is… In the end, I’ve had enough of pretending to be friends with that scumbag. It was also stated by de noodles that Dobric had been unfollowed on Instagram by the YouTuber. Wittek retaliated to Dobrik on Instagram a few hours after the live stream, claiming: It’s safe to say David will remain unattractive and bald.
In addition, he shared a retouched image of Dobrik with the caption,
Smh, it’s not that hard dude, David just can’t make the proper judgments.”
As part of his YouTube series, Jeff Witten approached David Dobrik.
“Resentment” was Jeff Wittek’s reaction to the event, according to Wittek. In his own words, he said that watching Dobrik’s Instagram stories and photos just made him feel worse:
When I clicked on the link, he was always being complimented for whatever he had achieved that week. My residence is the worst place I’ve ever been, and I’m sitting here thinking I’ll never go back to where I was.” It was then that he remembered asking Dobrik to check on him and speak with him “man-to-man in person.” He continued,
“It made me hate him, hate seeing his face, and hate being online because of it.” I was unable to open YouTube because of this. A terrible mood was triggered by that. I’m able to move about now that my wounds have healed, but I’m still a mess.”
Dorbik said he “didn’t do it on purpose” when asked whether he believed Dorbik had purposely placed his life in jeopardy.
Dobrik added the following:
Tossing someone into the ocean wasn’t something I was looking forward to at all. A “dumb f**king accident” is one of the worst types of mishaps.
In the fourth episode of Jeff Wittek’s four-part documentary “Don’t Try This At Home,” the two seemed to be buddies, but it now appears they are no longer.
