Jake Bobo is a wide receiver for the UCLA Bruins and is the son of Casey and Mike Bobo. Mike and Casey Bobo have a common past since they both attended Dartmouth College, where their paths first intersected. Their chance meeting evolved into a deep relationship, and they were soon college sweethearts. They enjoy their shared experience and are happily married to this day. Jake is from North Andover, Massachusetts, and attended Duke University before transferring to UCLA for his senior season. The Pac-12 coaches picked him honorable mention All-Pac-12, while Pro Football Focus named him second-team all-conference. Jake was also a first-team 2022 CSC Academic All-America football team member and a Pop Warner College Football Award nominee. After the 2023 NFL Draft, the Seahawks signed him as an undrafted free agent.

Jake’s father, Mike Bobo, was also a football player. He played football for three seasons at Dartmouth College, where he was a consistent starter from 1988 to 1991 and even led the team in 1991. Mike’s Dartmouth football background demonstrates his leadership characteristics, and Jake may have acquired some of those traits genetically.
Jake’s mother, Casey Bobo, was also interested in collegiate athletics. She played ice hockey at Dartmouth College, adding to the athletic history of her family. Jake’s parents not only went to the same college, but they also became a loving family. Casey is presently employed as the Vice President for Strategic Planning at Dexter Southfield School in Brookline, Massachusetts, according to her LinkedIn page. She has a strong educational and counseling background.
She formerly worked at The New School in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Brooks School, and The Hockaday School as the Director of College Counseling. Casey graduated from Dartmouth College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and Classics. In addition, in 2012, she received a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts. She has also worked in student services, admissions, and educational technology.

Jake’s family sports background includes his grandparents and aunts, in addition to his parents. David Hagerman, his maternal grandpa, played four seasons of ice hockey at the University of New Hampshire. Similarly, one of his aunts, Jamie Hagerman Phinney, played ice hockey at Harvard. At the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, she earned a bronze medal with the US hockey team. Kully Hagerman Reardon, his other aunt, excelled in field hockey and lacrosse at Middlebury College. She was instrumental in the NCAA Lacrosse championships. So, the Bobo family has a long and illustrious sporting history, and Jake Bobo is carrying on that lineage with his excellent football career.
