The BTS rapper paid respect to the icon by calling his mixtape Hope World after J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. J-song hope’s Hip Hop Phile from the album Dark and Wild makes a reference to the artist.

The song also reached number nine on Spotify’s Global Top Songs list, making it the highest charting debut by a Korean artist in history.
