During his August 8 live, YouTuber IShowSpeed seemed to be arrested and jailed. After an unnamed individual mistakenly reported him as a danger, a group of Cincinnati police officers encircled the content producer outside a building. Netizens couldn’t believe the beloved online personality had been placed in such a predicament.
The YouTuber appeared to have been swatted while surrounded by police officers in one of his most recent Livestream shows. Swatting is a criminal harassment method that involves tricking an emergency service into dispatching a police or emergency service response team to another person’s residence. Such activities are often committed when individuals send in fake reports of significant unlawful crimes such as bomb threats, murders, hostage situations, and so on.
The YouTuber was noticeably perplexed throughout the event in the now-viral video. In amazement, he stated:
“Oh my goodness, dude! I promise I did nothing wrong. I didn’t do anything. Oh my goodness!”
The videographer continued to record the content creator until he was contacted by a police officer who instructed him to cease shooting until the problem was handled.
