Cuff, a former college basketball player, served as the men’s basketball team captain at Columbia University. Cuff holds Columbia records for games played, career three-point field goals made, and three-point percentage in a single season.
Cuff began working in marketing for InterPublic Group after college. Later, Columbia invited him to be the color commentator for the men’s basketball game, and he accepted. Cuff wanted to shift careers after five years of working in marketing. He joined the IMG agency and is managed by Aimee Leone. Aimee was able to get Cuff into NBC, where she had previously worked for two decades. Dalen began his career with the NBCSN Ivy League before moving on to the network’s regional station in Boston.
Cuff covered the Rio Olympics for NBC and even learned Portuguese in the process. Cuff sometimes covers soccer games for ESPN in addition to hosting ACC Network shows.
