Jonathan Scott takes to social media to share his feelings for his girlfriend Zooey Deschanel. On March 29, 2022, the HGTV star posted two photographs on Instagram of himself and his muse at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. On the red carpet, Scott posed with his girlfriend in the first photo. In the second, he was seen with the long train of her pink Christopher John Rogers gown draped over his arm.
“You’ve gently held my heart for over 3 years, the least I could do is hold your train for 3 hours,” Scott captioned the photo, adding, “You looked lovely as usual.”
In response, Deschanel expressed her feelings for her lover, tweeting, “You’re my number one!!!! The best boyfriend in the planet!”

The Property Brothers actor and his girlfriend initially met in August 2019 while shooting Carpool Karaoke with their famous siblings, Drew Scott and Emily Deschanel. According to Us magazine, the couple hit it off right away and connected over their shared love of music, cinema, theater – and Christmas carols. The couple’s bond has only gotten stronger since then. They’ve publicly recounted their love triumphs and setbacks along the road.
Scott and the New Girl alum started dating in September 2019, soon after Deschanel divorced her four-year spouse, Jacob Pechenik. A month later, the pair made their Instagram debut. Both uploaded images from their vacation to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles. Scott and his girlfriend have rung in three new years, celebrated each other’s birthdays, spent quarantine together, worked side by side, purchased their ideal home, and supported each other’s profession during the course of their almost three-year relationship.
Scott planned a modest celebration for Deschanel’s 42nd birthday in January 2022. Several images from the occasion were released by the reality TV personality. Zooey also shared images from the party, writing, “The greatest (birthday) dinner date.” Scott published a carousel of photographs of the pair in a second post to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday. “Happy birthday to the one and only @zooeydeschanel,” he said in the caption of the photo. “You make my life so much easier.” Similarly, Deschanel delivered a touching message to mark her boyfriend’s 44th birthday on April 29, 2022. “Happy Birthday to the most lovely and loving guy who lets me wear his jacket when I’m chilly, helps me carry the train of my dress all night, and never complains,” she said in the post. “I’m looking forward to waking up every day simply to see him.” “I’m so glad to honor @jonathanscott today (and every day),” the actress said.

Prior to Scott and Deschanel’s whirlwind relationship, the couple wasn’t so fortunate in love. Scott had previously been married to Kelsy, an airline crew scheduler. They married in 2007, and he relocated from Canada to Las Vegas to be with her. However, the marriage terminated after just two years. “We were young, and there was a thrill going into it,” Scott said of their failed marriage to People. “She wanted to be married on 07/07/07… so it wasn’t something that occurred spontaneously,” he continued. The celebrity also discussed the lesson he learned as a result of his breakup.
