Ilkka became the CEO and co-founder of Sumea, a gaming company that specialized in game development, in June of 2000. Ilkka’s choice of this path was surprising given his lack of programming or game design experience at the time. Summa was acquired by Digital Chocolate four years later, in June 2004. This, however, did not result in his dismissal. From July 2004 to December 2006, he served as Managing Director, and then as President of Studios from December 2006 to 2009. From January to June of 2010, he served as the company’s president.
