Gangsta Boo, an American rapper and former member of the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, died at the age of 43. DJ Paul K.O.M., the creator of the hip-hop group, announced her death by posting a photo of her on Instagram. Gangsta Boo allegedly died on January 1 at approximately 4 p.m. at her Memphis home. While the official cause of death is still unclear, insiders tell TMZ that the rapper died from drug-related complications.
According to a source, the rapper’s brother was with her last night at a nearby performance and was hospitalized due to overdosing. While he is currently in stable health, sources close to the investigation say narcotics were discovered at Boo’s murder site and that a fentanyl-laced substance might have been a factor in her death. On DJ Paul’s tweet, other musicians and artists paid respect to the late rapper.
