Raphy Pina, a record producer, was sentenced to three years in jail on May 24, 2022. For his unlawful possession of guns conviction, he was sentenced to $150,000 in fines. After Judge Francisco A. Besosa refused a bail appeal, Pina was ordered to surrender voluntarily to the United States Marshall by 3 p.m. on Tuesday. He will complete his sentence in Florida and will be put on supervised release for three years at the completion of his sentence.
The punishment comes five months after Pina was convicted by a jury of criminal possession of an automatic weapon and felony possession of guns. Given his 2016 criminal conviction and the potential harm caused by automatic firearms, federal prosecutors first sought a prison term of 46 to 50 months. Raphy’s counsel issued a sentencing brief on May 20, asking for just probation as a suitable penalty.
It’s sad how Raphy Pina is now sentenced to 3.5 years in federal prison, two days after his baby girl just turned 1 year old 😕 I feel bad for Natti Natasha tbh
