Lindsay Shookus, a Saturday Night Live producer for the last 20 years, is leaving the program. Other cast members who have departed the show this year include Pete Davidson and Kate McKinnon. Shookus is leaving just before she was ready to be promoted, according to reports. Shookus has been a part of the program for a long time and has been a winner of six Emmy Awards. A source at Page Six revealed:
“Lindsay has been a producer on the program for the last 20 years.” They’re upsetting things. She was given another role on the program, but she declined.”

Following her retirement from SNL, Shookus stated on Instagram that she had opted to trade in the wild late-night life and move on from the program.

Lindsay Shookus is best known as the producer of Saturday Night Live, for which she has received ten Emmy nominations. She also worked as an associate producer on 30 Rock. She then co-hosted a networking event in New York called Women Work F***ing Hard with her friend Kristin O’Keeffe Merrick.
