“And here we were (recently) at SpaceX, and they were interested in talking about a space journey. And I mentioned it. We were both on board within a few minutes.”
In another interview at Space X’s Starship construction facility, he said that he hopes to embark on the voyage with ten additional individuals over the next five years. He continued,
“We’ll be able to see the Earth becoming smaller and smaller, while the moon gets bigger and bigger. When we emerge from the far side of the moon, we will view the Earth from a perspective that only the Apollo astronauts have seen too far.”
It is possible that the missions will take some time to begin. Dennis Tito has not said how much he would pay for two seats. The couple is preparing for the voyage by being physically active and monitoring their health.
