Bobby and Sophie on the Coast are gearing up to take their fans on a fantastic cuisine tour of Los Angeles. Celebrity chef, restauranteur, and TV personality Bobby Flay is one of the Food Network’s most well-known chefs, and he is slated to return to the network on August 22 at 9 p.m. ET with his newest collaboration with his daughter, Sophie Flay.
The father-daughter team is recognized for their sweet on-screen chemistry and shared passion for cooking. After visiting New York City’s restaurants, the two return to Sophie’s hometown, where they’ll visit several places and delight viewers along the way.

According to the Food Network news release about the forthcoming show:
“Bobby and Sophie tour Los Angeles in each one-hour episode, with its year-round sunlight and local ingredients that make the city a treasure trove for the top restaurants and chefs. Bobby and Sophie are on a quest to sample the most imaginative and scrumptious food the city has to offer, from the luxurious Hollywood institutions to the urban resurgence of Downtown LA’s trendy new cafes.”
According to the press release, it is also the ideal seaside gastronomic journey.
How wealthy are Bobby and Sophie?
Flay’s work in several industries over the years has garnered him a net worth of $60 million as of April 2023, making him one of the world’s most famous and wealthy celebrity chefs. At the age of 17, the New York native obtained his GED and headed off to pursue his culinary goals. He was a member of the French Culinary Institute’s inaugural graduating class, and his tuition was paid for by Joe Allen, who was pleased with Flay’s innate skills in the kitchen. Flay went on to work at other restaurants, including Brighton Grill and Bud and Jams, where he learned about Southwestern and Cajun cuisines, which would later inspire and inform many of his recipes and culinary work. He has been on various Food Network shows, including Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay, Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, and Iron Chef and Wickedly Perfect.
While he is well-known on the Food Network, the celebrity chef has also produced a number of cookbooks, including Bobby Flay’s Burgers, Fries, & Shakes and Bobby at Home: Fearless Flavors from my Kitchen. He experimented briefly as a radio DJ in 2009 and has made several cameo appearances on TV series and films throughout the years.

The Bobby and Sophie on the Coast celebrity own restaurants in locations such as Las Vegas, New York City, Atlantic City, and even the Bahamas. Mesa Grill in Las Vegas received one Michelin star in 2008 but lost it in 2009.
Property and other assets
In 2017, the famous chef made news when his luxurious apartment in Chelsea, New York, was listed for $7.25 million. However, he was unable to find a buyer and decreased the price in 2022 before selling it for $5.6 million. He paid $6.5 million for a futuristic mansion in Los Angeles after selling his residence. The chef also owns thoroughbred horses, including many stakes race winners, such as More Than Real, who won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in 2010.
Bobby and Sophie on the Coast also have their own podcast, Always Hungry with Bobby Flay and Sophie Flay, where they talk about food and have fun. Bobby and Sophie on the Coast will premiere on Discovery+ on August 22 and will be available to watch on demand.
