According to TMZ, comedian Heather McDonald fainted on stage while performing at her comedy gig on February 6 in Tempe, Arizona. The 51-year-old comedian only managed to deliver one joke before she fainted. According to TMZ, McDonald struck her head during the fall and was taken to the hospital. According to reports, an EMT nurse in the crowd went onto the stage to assist her with first aid. Paramedics later arrived at the scene and attended to the comic.
A few hours later, McDonald tweeted a video of herself apologizing to the show’s viewers. In the video, which she shot from the hospital’s emergency department, the California native says:
“I’m very sorry. On stage, I passed out. I did one joke and felt so dizzy. When I fell, you can see my eye. Oh my God, I’m in such a bad mood. I shall return. I’ve never fainted before in my life.”
