Hannah Waddingham, a British actress, and Gianluca Cugnetto, her long-term companion, appear to have split up. Septa Unella, the Nun who marched behind Cersei Lannister during her naked march through King’s Landing, striking a bell and crying “shame” repeatedly, may be familiar to Game of Thrones fans.
She discussed her iconic Game of Thrones scene and handling her job as a single mother during a recent appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast. They discussed how it would be ideal if they didn’t have to compromise their professions for parenting as working single mothers.
When her daughter was sick, the actress explained that she couldn’t get home right away because she was in Belfast filming Krypton.
According to Waddingham’s confession, she was already a single mother when she filmed Krypton, which premiered in 2018.
This most likely indicates Waddingham and her spouse split up a few years ago. She even admitted that she had once given up her profession “for a bloke” and that she now believes it was for the best that “guy,” most likely Cugnetto, left her life. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.

There isn’t much information available on Cugnetto, but his LinkedIn profile gives some insight into his work. He became a business manager and hotelier after graduating from Cornell University in New York.
He worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for three years as the Director of Food and Beverage in 2007. He then joined the same position at Antara Hotels in Bangkok in November 2010. In 2015, he became the General Manager of Hotel du Vin, a luxury and boutique hotel brand situated in the United Kingdom.
The ex-couple kept their personal lives secret and didn’t share many photos of themselves. Cugnetto, on the other hand, proclaimed his appreciation and love for Waddingham and her achievements on his Facebook page, sharing stories praising her. The couple had a daughter in 2014, although it was tough for them to conceive her.

The couple struggled to conceive their daughter before welcoming her, and Waddingham opened out about it in an interview with Lorraine Kelly when she announced her pregnancy. After overcoming fertility challenges, the actress expressed her excitement at becoming a mother. Doctors had told her she had a slim possibility of getting pregnant, but she defied the odds.
I just feel extremely fortunate and fortunate. My breath has been snatched away. She went on to say that she didn’t mind revealing her struggles because they were common among women and that becoming pregnant and a mother felt more significant than any other job she had ever had.
