Following Monday, CBS will premiere a new season of Survivor. Hai Giang, a 29-year-old data scientist from New Orleans, will be one of the 18 candidates. According to the network’s profile, he is the first person in his family to attend and graduate from college. Apart from that, Giang has accomplished much despite his twenties. He purchased his first home at 24, paid off his college debts by 26, and became the company’s youngest associate director of analytics by 27. Giang shared a few images with his lover Caleb at the start of 2022, claiming they had purchased their home together. The couple has been together for five years and lives in Los Angeles with two dogs and a cat.
Hai Giang was raised in abject poverty.
While Giang now lives a wealthy life, his background has been marked by adversity. He said in his profile that he grew up in great poverty as a child. His family shared a one-bedroom apartment with another family, and his dad worked seven days a week to make ends meet.

Giang’s bio goes on to say:
“From an early age, I learnt to survive and be resilient.” People don’t notice it today, but I’ll always remember those difficult years. They fortified me.”
He went on to say that his mother was his inspiration since she overcame adversity while raising the family. Giang describes his mother as follows:
“She arrived in the United States with my father and me as a 23-year-old refugee with no command of the English language and just $40 in her pockets.” I can only imagine how much bravery it requires. Despite all of the obstacles she encountered, Mom worked tirelessly, had no breaks, and was able to care for me.”
Meanwhile, Giang is preparing to participate in CBS’s program.
What is Giang’s winning plan for Survivor 42?
The data scientist feels confident in his abilities to become the Sole Survivor. According to his profile, his powers include logical thinking, improved communication skills, and social awareness. He said in his inaugural video that he could read the room, i.e., social circumstances. As a result, he would bring this skill to the game.
In his profile, he said that he wished to follow in the footsteps of Aubry Brace, but in his debut video, he used Yul Kwon’s name. Furthermore, he wants to use the techniques of previous Survivor participants. Giang will play with 17 other castaways in Survivor Season 42, which will debut on CBS and Paramount+ on March 9 at 8 p.m. ET. Jeff Probst will host the reality television program.
