Hubert Guist Sr. and Bonnie Albritton welcomed their first child, Glenn, into the world on February 8, 1958, in Louisiana, the United States. A close family friend, Mitchell Guist, whom he had known since childhood and with whom he had appeared in a television series before his untimely death, was a special person to him. They’d been roommates for so long that he considered her a best friend as well as his co-star in the play.
Daniel and Tonya Guist were Glenn’s other two brothers. Glenn and Mitchell learned how to hunt alligators from their father, who in turn taught them how to do it. Their father used to hunt for food and sell alligator mats as a source of income for their families when they were younger.
