George Brett was Jack Brett and Ethel Brett Johnson’s son. He was born on May 15, 1953, in Glendale, West Virginia, and raised there as well. He was raised with three brothers. Kenneth Alven Brett is an American major league baseball pitcher and the second of four Brett brothers who are well-known for their careers in baseball. George Brett attended El Segundo High School in 1971 and was drafted 29th overall in the second round by the Kansas City Royals 1971.
