Flava Flav was born on March 16, 1959, in New York’s Roosevelt neighborhood, he was drawn to music at a young age and taught himself to play the piano by the age of five. Following that, he became involved in his local church’s activities by singing in the church youth choir. He continued to demonstrate his musical genius by learning the drums and guitar in addition to his piano abilities. Flava Flav, according to fellow Public Enemy member Chuck D, can play fifteen instruments.
Flava Flav, on the other hand, did not have a peaceful childhood, catching fire while playing with a lighter. He had even dropped out of high school by the eleventh grade, after trips to jail for robbery and burglary.
