The Wilds launched on Amazon Prime Video in December 2020 and will return for a second season on May 13, 2022. The first ten episodes feature a group of high school kids from various backgrounds who are forced to go into survival mode after being trapped on a remote island after an aircraft disaster.
The trauma they experienced as a result of being lost in the middle of nowhere causes strife. But as they got to know one other better, they became friends, and some even fell in love, such as Erana James’ Toni and Mia Healey’s Shelby. Fans were drawn to their lovely romance narrative right away, with some even speculating whether they were dating in real life.
Erana James and Mia Healey Are Dating
The pair were filmed on Instagram Live a couple of times in a fan edit compilation video posted by Alexa edits on YouTube. A fan questioned them whether they were in love in real life during an IG Live. “After a little pause, Healey said, “Perhaps a bit,” to which James replied, “I love you, I do,” to which Healey replied, “You better! In actual life, I adore you “James burst out laughing at this.
In another IG live, the two discussed how they met and how their characters on the program date. The co-stars first met in 2018, on Healey’s birthday. She was vaping when James asked if she could borrow the pen, mistaking the vape for a pen. Healey confirmed that it was a vaporizer, and maybe it was the tone of her voice, but James had a negative initial impression of her. They did, however, become excellent friends later on. They also said that they had no idea their characters would end up falling in love with one other.

A friendship between Mia Healey and Erana James
Because they disclosed something about Healey texting a guy in another interview, it seems that the actors are merely friends and not dating off-screen. During a Prime Video interview, the cast of The Wilds performed a game in which they had to reveal and explain whatever picture, text, or DM they came across while scrolling through their phones. When it was James’ turn, she shared a comical tale about Healey texting a man to tell him she couldn’t respond to his messages because her phone was broken.
Even though fans who are shipping them may be unhappy that they are not dating, the stars are excellent pals.
“It was really simple for me to form a connection with Toni since Erana and I are very close friends off camera, which is incredibly fortunate because we already have that natural chemistry. She stated that they will return home after the filming to discuss their roles and scenarios. They’d have frank discussions about how they felt about one other’s personalities and make sure they were physically linked. That friendship has contributed to their on-screen chemistry.
