Evan Lysacek won the Juvenile National Championship in 1996. He also advanced to Intermediate and earned a pewter medal at the Junior Olympics in 1997. In the 1999-2000 season, he made his international junior debut. He participated in the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit from 1999 to 2000. He also won the Junior championship in the 2000 US Championships. At the 2001 U.S. Championships, he made his senior national debut. He finished 10th as the third alternate for the 2003 Four Continents Championships.
Lysacek just earned the bronze medal in the 2007-2008 Grand Prix Final. In addition, he earned a bronze medal at the 2008 Skate America.
