Lisa Gunstone in Born and Board was Rigby’s first acting role. At the age of 15, she landed the part of Hannah Ashworth in Hollyoaks in 2005. She received accolades and attention for her anorexia plotline, for which she was nominated for many prizes. Rigby said in 2008 that she was leaving Hollyoaks to pursue other ventures, but that she would continue to appear on the show until June 2009. In 2010, she made her West End debut in the psychosexual horror musical Wolfboy.
